– A 22-year-old Manchester woman has been charged with second-degree murder in the death of her baby daughter earlier this month, the Attorney General’s Office announced Saturday.
Paquette will be arraigned on a second-degree murder charge tomorrow in Manchester District Court.
Police responded to a call to their Manchester home September 5 and found the child unresponsive around 1.30pm.
The girl died the next day at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, N.H. An autopsy conducted on September 8 determined the death to be a homicide caused by blunt impact head injuries, according to a statement from the attorney general’s office.
Deputy Chief Medical Examiner Jennie V. Duval ruled the death a homicide.
‘This was not an accident, ‘ said Senior Assistant Attorney General Benjamin J. Agati, according to the Boston Herald.
Agati would not say whether there was anyone else in the home when Sadie suffered the injury that led to her death.
Anyone who has any information relevant to this investigation is still asked to contact the Juvenile Investigative Unit at the Manchester Police Department at 603-668-8711.
