The auto landed on it’s wheel, but two kids were thrown out.
The Dodge County Sheriff’s Office says the accident happened on Interstate 41 just a mile north of State Trunk Highway 28 in the Township of Lomira. Preliminary investigation shows that the auto was northbound on I-41 when the driver entered the west side gravel shoulder.
Schmidt said it appeared at least two of the children were not properly restrained, as they were ejected from the vehicle.
A 21-year-old passenger was injured, but denied medical attention. The 6-month-old sustained severe injuries and the 3-year-old sustained life-threatening injuries.
The crash remains under investigation by the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office Crash Investigation Team. The third child, a 1-year-old, was transported by the Fond du Lac Paramedics to Children’s Hospital.

The sheriff’s department said a man and a woman in the auto were also treated for minor injuries.
