del Toro said. Silent Hills is no more, and the world can only sit and wonder for the rest of their lives.

While Konami cancelled the development of Silent Hills a few months ago, there are still some new details surrounding the game’s development that has recently surfaced, with the latest being horror manga artist Junji It’s involvement with the project. His most well known works are Tomie, Gyo and Uzumaki, which are each quite creepy in their own ways.

Kojima had previously released tweets about meetings with Ito, along with frequent praise for his work on his horror manga. Guillermo has been known for his great films such as Hellboy, Crimson Peak, The Strain, Pan’s Labyrinth and Pacific Rim. Unfrotunately, due to internal conflicts with publishing company Konami and their shifting focus on mobile and gambling games, Silent Hills was cancelled this past April.
