A report published by Android Police says that the new tablet is called the Pixel C and that it will measure in at 10.2 inches.

Google trotted out the Chromebook Pixel way back in 2013, with a refresh finally showing up in March of this year.
Android Police cites from reliable sources that the Pixel C will be a tablet device, and unlike the first two pixels, this tablet will run on Android OS.
Unlike the Nexus tablet family, this tablet won’t be made with a partnering company and will be directly produced under the Google brand name.
Today, Google is hosting an event in San Francisco, where it is expected to take wraps off the LG Nexus 5X, Huawei Nexus 6P and the second-gen Chromecast. Google might also unveil the upcoming tablet at its Nexus event tomorrow.
One of the selling points of the Pixel C will be a detachable keyboard which will come in two finishes – leather and aluminum – and it will charge automatically when closed.
The Pixel lightbar will be present on the back of the tablet and will glow to show the battery life remaining in the device.
Codenamed Ryu, the alleged Pixel C tablet is said to feature a 10.2-inch display with a pixel density of 308ppi. Beneath the slab of glass you’ll find a quad-core NVIDIA X1 processor and Maxwell GPU along with 3GB of RAM. It will not be manufactured by another OEM, this is a Google product through and through.

In addition to the removable keyboard, the Pixel C will also come with USB Type-C support, which makes sense on such a light device, as it allows you to both charge the device and connect additional peripherals. Considering the high price tag sported by the Chromebook Pixel, it won’t be surprising to see the Pixel C tablet being placed in the higher price bracket. Pricing info for the new Pixel isn’t yet available, but it’s believed it would get closer to the Surface 3, which means that the most affordable model might cost around $500.
