With much-needed rain trucking toward Maine, flooding is highly possible, according to the National Weather Service. The weather service states that “another round of heavy rain is possible late this week into this weekend, which could bring additional flooding concern”. Flash flooding is a very risky situation. Today’s high will be around 81, with an overnight low around 74.

Tropical Storm Joaquin is forested to turn northward and sit off the NC/VA coast by Sunday.

It’s a murky, mild, muggy morning with a few light showers out there.

This end-of-the-month rainfall will likely see September finishing with above average rainfall, Lee said. Beware poor visibility because of the intense rain and localized flooding.

The storm is expected to be heavy later this afternoon through the evening, before beginning to diminish on Wednesday. N/NE winds sustained 20 miles per hour will gust stronger and continue to strengthen.
