Trending News: Here’s One Small Thing John Oliver Did For Refugees

We were amazed by her seemingly endless determination and upbeat attitude in the face of so many obstacles. “I watched Days of Our Lives, where Sami and EJ struggle”. The host then reunited the series’ beloved Days of Our Lives characters EJ and Sami – played by Alison Sweeney and James Scott – as a small gesture for Mustafa, and to help outline the current crisis. And, frankly, she’s right to be upset.

Noting the coverage of the crisis – involving millions – has been heartbreaking, Oliver turned to the fear-mongering – albeit subtle fear-mongering – of a straight news anchor on Fox.

“Unfortunately for Nageen and so many like her”, Oliver said, “Europe has yet to create an effective system to process this influx of people”.

“You don’t get to claim that you’re not calling those people terrorists when your lower third says, ‘Terrorists Inbound?'” Oliver said. She also wants to meet Queen Elizabeth. “Getting from Syria to Germany”. “EJ and Sami were magic together”. “It’s the best evening of my life!”

But Nageen did ask for “a huge favor” – she would like to have a chance to talk to them. “I love them both”, she said after crossing the Serbian/Hungarian border.
