The season-opener unveils Coulson and his team’s newest rival and their new challenge. And against all expectations, we’re actually excited for it. Daisy Johnson – now having shed her name Skye – has come into her own, Coulson is wrestling with a few demons, we have jumped several months later and things are “darker than ever”. That’s a lot to put on one person’s plate.

“She might be taking a little hiatus from fighting, which I think is going to be Bobbi’s struggle in the beginning of the season”, Adrianne said. It seems that they are out finding these “aliens” and containing them by whatever means necessary. Their intentions might not be where hers are.
For those who missed it, the synopsis for the primer revealed that Coulson and Daisy will be leading the charge in searching for the people tainted by the Terrigen and now have superhuman abilities. We haven’t met him yet, but we probably know what Lash’s answer would be.
We know that S.H.I.E.L.D. will be facing a formidable new foe this season. “Maybe a pay raise”. When the show got picked up and went to series, Betsy was not available. Our goal in Season One was to create what was originally six, and now I think we are at ten, super strong, identifiable characters by their clothes. There’s these heatwaves coming into LA and we’re like, “Woo”, just dying but it’s pretty amusing. Sometimes you kill the wrong Inhuman.
“I tweet about Daisy all the time”. Season 2 finale kicked off in Afterlife, a safe haven for Inhumans. But she’s definitely still very cautious. Still reeling from the events of the battle with Jiaying and other inhumans, the agents search for more inhumans.

Daisy Johnson (Chloe Bennet) won’t be the only thing that’s different on Agents of SHIELD this season. She didn’t realize Skye was watching. Are many people involved in deciding on costumes and styles, especially when dealing with characters that have already existed in the comics? Everybody has different attitudes on what this means and if it’s good. “It feels very topical”. Is Simmons partly Inhuman? “He’s been doing anything he can to try and find where she’s gone, and it’s affecting his work on SHIELD”. Daisy he trusts. He trusts her because he knew her before her transformation. It also helps us tackle the daunting task of 22 episodes without being paralyzed with fear at the thought of generating over a thousand pages of material each year. “They’re going big, as they should”. “It’s fun to play that intrigue and mystery”.
