Modi thanks Obama for USA support to India’s UNSC bid
“And that’s something that we welcome”, President Obama said yesterday after his hour-long meeting with PM Modi at the United Nations headquarters here wherein the Prime Minister spoke about his weekend trip to Silicon Valley and how this would help the development of India.

He recounted stories from his childhood in a poor family, selling tea at a railway station and doing hard chores to earn money.
“It was an honor for all of us at Facebook to host the prime minister as he shared his thoughts with our community and everyone watching live in India and around the world“, Zuckerberg wrote in a Facebook post. Apple Inc Chief Executive Tim Cook met with Modi at his hotel.
“This is why next month we are going to take Android and make it possible for you to type in Android in 11 more languages, including the Prime Minister’s mother-tongue of Gujarati”, 43-year-old alumnus of IIT-Kharagpur said.
Modi also praised social media’s potential for lifting people out of poverty by giving them access to more information, as well as encouraging understanding between people: “Social media is reducing social barriers”.

As per reports, soon after his pitch for UNSC expansion in New York, recently PM Narendra Modi has announced that soon he would be utilizing the terrorism issue to hit a unique rapport with African countries. Modi also thanked Obama for his support (UNSC bid) and chose to push strategic cooperation.
