Edmonton’s mayor and police force have enlisted SpiderMable’s help – part of a day-long, citywide scenario created by the Edmonton branch of the Children’s Wish Foundation. She will suit up and head down to the Mayor’s office where she will be instructed by police on how to safely get the Oiler’s captain back.
To help her solve the crime, she met with Mayor Don Iveson and police officials.
Watch the rescue take place at Edmonton Valley Zoo’s outdoor plaza around 3 p.m., then join her afterwards for celebrations in the zoo’s Otter Room. “She’s got such a personality”, said Elizabeth LoPresti, associate director of the Children’s Wish Foundation.
The city of Edmonton and much of Canada is following #SpiderMable on Twitter on Monday.
“She is going to be jubilant, so joyful”.
Spiderman is guiding Spider-Mable on her elaborate quest, and locals are being asked to play along with the story. “On Monday, she’ll be surprised, I know she’ll be running around you just won’t be able to contain this little ball of energy”.
People are invited to come down to the four pits stops to cheer on SpiderMable throughout the day.
Watch her hunt for a villain at the West Edmonton Mall’s World Waterpark around 11:30 a.m.
