It was reported that the dog owner with his few volunteers, fixed hundreds of posters across the city.
But the owner left stunned when police officer knocked his door, with the warning to take the posters down.
Police in Washington D.C have flagged rules stating people who hang filers illegally can face fines of $300.
However, it’s not clear yet whether the fine amount was sum of all posters or something else.
Later the man, Roger Horowitz, said that he just wanted to track his pet dog, Ollie, down and for this he did this all.
