‘Power’ EP Curtis ’50 Cent’ Jackson Signs Overall Deal With Starz

Starz is expanding its relationship with Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson.

Power season two averaged more than 6.8 million viewers per episode, on track to become the most watched season ever for a Starz original series, according to the network.

“Starz has been the ideal partner to make Power the success that it is and I am looking forward to developing many more record-breaking series with them”, he told Deadline, revealing his new 2-year contract with the channel.

Are we at the dawn of the next phase of 50’s career, television super producer? He has just signed a deal that will allow him and his G-Unit Film & Television, Inc.to continue work on the drama series and produce new projects, too.

Production on season three of Power began this month in Brooklyn. The network already ordered a third season, which will run 10 episodes.

Power was created by Courtney Kemp Agboh and stars Omari Hardwick and Lela Loren.

The show airs in more than 175 countries worldwide, with Starz retaining global distribution and home entertainment rights. He recently starred in “Spy” with Melissa McCarthy and Jude Law and “Southpaw” with Jake Gyllenhaal, Forest Whitaker and Rachel McAdams, directed by Antoine Fuqua.
