Segura’s homer lifts Lopez, Brewers to 4-3 win over Padres
Matt Kemp #27 of the San Diego Padres hits an RBI single during the third inning of a baseball game against the Milwaukee Brewers at Petco Park September 29, 2015 in San Diego, California. RHP Jorge Lopez became the 12th player to make his major league debut for the Brewers this season…. “There wasn’t one time where we had to take him out of the game because he was getting beat up”, Murphy said.

“Yeah, I think you can feel it with this guy”, he said. I had a rocky first couple of years with Oakland and in 2013 being in the ‘pen and starting a little.
“It’s been great”, Lopez said. “It was unbelievable. I’ll take the win”.
Meanwhile, his fielding-independent pitching had improved from 3.24 a year ago to 2.94. Khris Davis singled to left and Segura hit a one-out homer off Ross (10-12) into the balcony on the third level of the Western Metal Supply Co. Building in the left-field corner. The Brewers struck first in the first inning, with Adam Lind and Jean Segura each driving in a run. I was happy. It was unbelievable for me.
Right-hander Francisco Rodriguez picked up his 38th save for the Brewers. He retired the first five hitters he faced, striking out three. A seriously wild pitch put him on second, and Matt Kemp collected his 100th RBI with a single to left. Acquired from the NL West rival Los Angeles Dodgers in December, Kemp hadn’t driven in that many runs since 2011, when he had a career-high 126.
Kemp exited the game after the top of the fifth with right hand soreness. “It pains me when Tyson pitches well and doesn’t get the win”.
“I was healthy, that was a goal of mine to be able to go start to finish”. “I guess it’s always good to drive in 100 (runs), but I’d rather have 80 RBIs and go to the playoffs”.
The Padres opened their final home series. Segura’s home run gave the Brewers the lead a t 4-3 and closed out the scoring for the night.
“I didn’t have a good rhythm early”, Ross said. As he tries to find a position to play to get in the lineup, Rogers hopes to get more work at third base there.

Brewers: RHP Zach Davies (2-2, 4.67 ERA) is scheduled to start the middle game of the series. His magical season continues now with a win in his first Major League start.
