Donald Trump sets his sights on Marco Rubio: He’s just a ‘kid’
At the Values Voters Summit on Friday, Trump called Rubio a “clown” – a remark that drew boos from the conservative crowd.

On Thursday, Rubio told Kentucky Sports Radio that Trump was a “very touchy and insecure guy” who’s “not well informed on the issues”. The latest average of poll numbers from Real Clear Politics has Rubio essentially tied with his state’s former governor, Jeb Bush, at 9 percent.
The big issue that has garnered attention for Rubio has been immigration reform. “He really never talks about issues and can’t have more than a 10-second soundbite on any key issue”, Rubio said.
Trump and Rubio have been anything but “nice” to each other this week, engaging in a continued back-and-forth that started Tuesday.
In the Fox interview, Rubio said Trump “hasn’t really answered serious questions about national security and, until he does, there should be concerns”. The fact that the U.S.is virtually the only country that doesn’t mandate paid maternity leave means that we are being quickly outpaced by our developed peers in the share of women in the workforce.
“(Rubio) announced he was going to run because he’s overly ambitious, too young – and I have better hair than he does, right?”
Interestingly, Trump himself didn’t claim afterward that they were booing Rubio rather than him.
Donald Trump launches his 2016 campaign for president at Trump Tower in New York. Overshadowed for much of the year, Rubio has begun to inch up in the polls after a pair of solid debate performances. “I don’t think so”. You would think Trump, a casino owner, would know “there’s time to hold ’em and a time to fold ’em”.
“Donald Trump has had a bad week; Carly [Fiorina] embarrassed him on stage and he’s not reacting well to it”, Rubio said.
As Trump noted on Friday, Rubio was part of a bipartisan group of senators dubbed the “Gang of Eight”.
“He’s got the worst voting record in the United States Senate,” Trump said during his appearance on “New Day” on CNN.
Asked if Mr. Boehner, who was facing the prospect of being ousted by conservatives in his caucus, had been forced out, Mr. Trump said, “Well, could be”.

His proposed policy is created to encourage paid family leave without the use of “harmful government mandates”, his campaign said. But I don’t want, if I win this thing, I don’t want the other side to know what my views are, where I’m coming from, what I do.
