Brigham Young U. bans the man bun
Brigham Young University’s Idaho campus has moved to ban man-buns on school grounds. The BYU-I Honor Code states, hairstyles for males should be “clean and neat, avoiding extreme styles of colors and trimmed above the collar leaving the ear uncovered”.

Those rebels who dare tie their locks into messy top knots will subsequently be sent to the Honor Office to face disciplinary action.
A religious college banned man buns on the grounds they are too “extreme”.
The “man-bun” is typically worn with hair shaved on the sides of the head with a top-knot worn in the middle.
Fortunately for all of you man bun fanatics, the development will proceed to stay on outdoors of BYU.
“It’s just something that deviates from the norm”, Barton, a student honor administrator, told The Scroll.
It’s a sad day for man-buns, and a sad day for the grooming freedom fighters of the world.
The school’s website stated abiding by this code requires students to exhibit “the dress and grooming standards consistent with the teachings of Jesus Christ”.
