He took a tour of the school (with principal Stuart Worden) and the Nordoff Robbins facility in the grounds during his time there, as well as looking in on everything from a dance class and a computer class to a recording studio.
He responded: “I wouldn’t rule out anything…”
Cowell, 55, states he warned Grimmy, 31, he might get a few pointless stick, divulging: “I did allege to Nick beforehand: “If it all comes on top you know what the score is”.
But while a confirmation of Louis being re-hired wasn’t forthcoming, Simon strongly hinted at it, saying: ‘If I thought the viewers would like to see him on a few of the live shows, why not?’
Amid ailing ratings, critics have been quick to blast Louis’ replacements Nick Grimshaw and Rita Ora, and there have been rumours circulating of the Irishman being re-hired. “Nick is fun to work with and loves being on the show”.
Haenow’s new single, Second Hand Heart, will feature United States singer Kelly Clarkson and is due for release next month. The song will appear on his self-titled debut album.
Speaking about Adele, Simon said: “I can always remember, that incredible Brits performance and it was nothing more than a spotlight and for three minutes it was just mesmerising, and when you’ve got that kind of talent, you don’t need tricks”. “I can’t wait for everybody to watch the lives because I think he will really come into his own then”.
Simon went on: “I think he’s doing good”.
“And by the way, when I say these things, sometimes I’m thinking, I’ve got to ask about 25 people here, and half of them will go no, but I just put it out there anyway, because we like to try new things”. And by the sounds of it, Simon wished he could have attended too. I’m still having so much fun, it’s a ball!

He spoke about his early days at school, admitting: “I was bored out of my mind actually”.
