An innocent family coming home from an outing was ambushed by at least one shooter Monday night, leaving a mother and a grandmother dead, and an 11-month-boy and two men wounded.

A auto pulled up on the family as they were getting out of their own vehicle, and one or more suspects opened fire on the family. “This family was attacked by unknown individuals”. Relatives identified one of the victims as Patricia Chew, the mother of 11-month-old Princeton. “In a second, two generations of that child’s family were wiped out”. A police officer rushed the baby to Stroger Hospital in a squad auto – a move praised by Roy. The baby underwent a Connecticut scan and has non-life-threatening injuries.

An 11-month-old baby was in stable condition Monday night after being hit by gunfire along with four others on Chicago’s South Side, police said.

The relationship between the two male victims and the others wasn’t immediately clear.

On Monday morning, an 18-year-old man was fatally shot on the city’s West Side.

Authorities say no arrests have been made.

Additionally, a 2-year-old boy was grazed by a bullet in an accidental shooting inside a South Shore neighborhood home early Tuesday. The man was shot in the back and was taken in critical condition to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn.
