Cheryl Fernandez-Versini slams weight critics in new magazine interview
Cheryl Fernandez-Versini has launched another stinging attack on her body image critics – accusing them of “double standards” over her weight.

Elsewhere in her interview with InStyles Emily Dean, Cheryl spoke about her marriage to French entrepreneur Jean Bernard Fernandez-Versini, revealing that she rarely gets cross, but when she does, she’s a shouter.
Asked what it’s like being married to her, she said: “I think I’m low maintenance, but maybe I’m deluded”.
In a second interview with InStyle magazine this week, she responded to speculation about her weight by accusing anyone who commented on her figure of “crazy double standards” and suggesting being overweight is a health issue. Fat people aren’t even allowed to be told that they look good? “It’s actually a bad message to tell someone who is obese that they look curvy or great”.
However she admitted there was nothing new in the comments, adding: ‘You know what? I think this happens just as much as shaming someone for being bigger.
The 25-year-old’s performance of Bill Withers’ Ain’t No Sunshine split the judges, with Cheryl saying: “She shouldn’t have sung that”. “There’s always this crack in her voice”.
“I’m like a sponge and I’m too sensitive” she said.
Meanwhile, the singer insists she’s going to be “tougher” on The X Factor compared to previous series as the live shows approach. The first time was with Alexandra Burke back in 2008, a memorable win if for no other reason than it involved a duet with Beyoncé that left Alexandra completely speechless.A year later, Cheryl was the winning judge again, this time with fellow Geordie Joe McElderry.
Cheryl might not want to announce that – JB will start to think he can do as he likes.
As well as judging, Cheryl gave a number of memorable performances on The X Factor.
She firstly took a screen grab of an article displaying Cheryl’s comments, and highlighted the sentence she was particularly unimpressed with.
