According to a statement by Yusuf Olaniyonu, spokesperson to the senate president, “the list was submitted in a sealed envelope by Chief of Staff to the President, Alhaji Abba Kyari and Senator Ita Enang, Senior Special Assistant to the President on Legislative Matters (Senate).
I can assure you that until Tuesday, the list would not be disclosed to the public”, an aide to the Senate President said yesterday.
Mr. Buhari said his government was able to address the issue of salary arrears owed by state governments to their workers, saying the APC government stepped in to provide short-term support to the states. Let us remind ourselves of the gifts God has given us.
“Our country has gone through periods of recession in the past”.
“I will remain Minister of Petroleum.”
Buhari dissapointed Nigerians. As long as we don’t know what name is on the list up to 11:59 30th sept, then Baba never kept his promised. “So, I have to graciously rule my minority leader out of order”.
“I wish to use this opportunity to say that the screening of ministers will not be business as usual, the era of bow and go is over”, he added.
The president has vowed to recover “mind-boggling” sums of stolen oil cash, starting with a drastic overhaul of state-run oil firm the Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC).
“Whereas, other affected Chad basin countries were fully represented and had fruitful discussions with officials of the world body, the government of Nigeria, which has the biggest challenge of displaced persons, was nowhere to be found”.
While commiserating with all those affected by the senseless acts of terrorism and violence, it applauded the military for the success recorded in the fight against Boko Haram insurgency plaguing the country. So, I have been writing the Senate president and the leader of the House.
He explained: “Our government set out to do things methodically and properly”.

His expulsion of thousands of Ghanaian migrant workers to try to free up jobs for Nigerians hit the economy, and the jailing of opponents and deployment of soldiers armed with whips to ensure orderly queues at bus stops met widespread criticism.
