The LG V10 Includes Two Displays And Two Front-Facing Cameras

One of those is made by LG but the firm is holding its own launch for something completely different.

Under the hood the V10 isn’t particularly different from the LG G4, boasting a 3,000 mAh battery, a Snapdragon 808 and a 16-megapizel camera. The embattled South Korean smartphone maker said Thursday the V10 comes with another screen above the main 5.7-inch display.

Similar to the edge displays of Samsung’s Galaxy S6 Edge, the display will be used to show messages, weather conditions and other information.

The 5MP front-facing camera will have you seeing double too, with an Dual Lens that captures at the standard 80 degrees as well as a much wider 120 degree angle for group selfies. Users will be able to fine tune their recording settings, from shutter speed, frame rate, ISO, white balance, and focus. The V10 can shoot video in HD, FHD, or UHD resolution, and there’s even an option to shoot in a 21:9 aspect ratio.

As the LG G4 did with photography, the LG V10 offers users the ultimate in video capturing, editing and sharing. It’s got 64GB of internal flash storage, which can be expanded to 200GB via microSD card. And there’s also support for recording multi-view imagery using both front cameras and the 16MP rear camera at the same time. Thus, the V10 and the G4 Pro could be LG’s double-barreled response, and we certainly wouldn’t balk at the prospect. When the main screen is on, the second screen can be used to for quick-launching apps, accessing favorite contacts, or serve up notifications. In addition, the V10 also offers additional features like Steady Record with the help of the electronic image stabilizer, Snap Video for stitching up smaller videos into a longer one, and a built-in Quick Video Editor for trimming or adding effects.

“We plan to release two flagships every year, one in the first half and the other in the second half”. All we know is that the new phone will be available in South Korea this month, and will make it to the USA, China, and a few other countries soon thereafter.

Less pointless, however, is manual video recording mode. The resilient Dura Guard frame firmly secures the display to protect the phone from hard bumps and tumbles.

As an advanced multimedia smartphone, the sound in the V10 has been created to be best-in-class. The LG V10 automatically detects connected devices and provides sound control options which can be customized. The sensor also works with Android Pay in the United States to make purchases. The LG V10 will launch with Android 5.1.1 (Lollipop).
