Deila left frustrated by shot-shy Celtic
Carlton Cole has been urged to join Celtic by Hoops defender Mikael Lustig.

The Hoops reduced the deficit at the top of the Scottish Premiership to four points but Deila was left fuming after Celtic failed to take full advantage of leaders Aberdeen’s 2-1 defeat to Inverness Caledonian Thistle.
But the Bhoys are yet to thrash out an agreement with Cole, despite Kennedy admitting the striker has looked good in training.
“There are so many positive things here and we’re going in the right direction”. He’s a box player and is maybe stronger in the air [than what we have]. “You always want new additions that can make the playing squad better”.
Speaking in a press conference, Celtic youth coach John Kennedy has confirmed that no decision has yet been made concerning the signing of Carlton Cole, with the former West Ham striker still on trial with the Bhoys.
A place in the secondary European competition means that each of the Parkhead side’s following league matches is moved back to a Sunday – a perceived disadvantage for Deila’s side as they play catch-up with Derek McInnes’ men.
“You can’t create more than we did in the first-half”.
Although we weren’t at our best last Wednesday, the cup game at Kilmarnock reminded me of last season in terms of the spirit they showed to come back from the dead in the last few minutes.
Celtic’s tempo dropped after the restart and Deila’s players looked a lot less effective when they came forward. But we were down against Aberdeen and then Ajax gave us a boost.
“It’s a really big game and we need to stay focused and go through the group”. We know that we can play good football and take points away from home. If we can do well in Europe then we will do better in the domestic league as well’.
Boss Ronny Deila has invited Cole to train with the Bhoys and will assess what he can add to his attacking options at Celtic Park.

“We just need to get on with it and get the three points in the next games”.
