It ended a run of four Premier League wins on the bounce for the Eagles, and started a run of four defeats.

Crystal Palace manager Alan Pardew has admitted that his side “deserved” to lose to West Bromwich Albion at Selhurst Park last season.

“Signing Yannick (Bolasie) was a real boost for us and having key players under long contracts bodes well for going forwards”.

“I was very impressed with Dwight”.

The Magpies were able to spring a shock at the Eithad Stadium on Pardew’s last attempt, while it’s a result that gives him confidence for his next attempt in more ways than one. “If he’d scored those two goals he’d have been man of the match”.

“He’ll play on Saturday and hopefully score”.

Palace recently added 17-year-old Anderlecht winger Jason Lokilo to the club following a few time training with the under-21s and receiving worldwide clearance.

On Saturday, Palace welcome West Brom to their ground once again, but Pardew is hoping for a different outcome.

Midfielder Yohan Cabaye provided the winning goal for Alan Pardew’s boys in the highly-defensive game with a penalty kick at the 71st minute, via BBC Sport.

To make matters worse, Pardew remains with Connor Wickham, Joel Ward, Mile Jedinak and Damien Delaney.

“The medical team tell me by the time we play West Ham they’ll be back, so that’s good news”. “We are fortunate that the starting XI who are on the sheet most weeks are still there, which is good”.
