Juniper Networks unveils new reference architecture
The airline has selected the MetaFabric Architecture from Juniper Networks, a “simplified, open and secure data centre architecture” that “accelerates the deployment of new services and applications at scale”, Juniper said. Unite is meant to make enterprise networks more agile, especially as the organizations adopt private and public cloud services from a variety of providers. The company on September 29 is rolling out a new reference architecture that is based on Juniper’s Junos networking software portfolio and includes an array of new and enhanced products, from Ethernet switches to routing products to management solutions.

“Business networks are constantly evolving to better meet the demands of BYOD and IoT, opening them up to more threats than ever before”, said Jonathan Davidson, executive vice president and general manager, Juniper Development and Innovation, Juniper Networks. With Juniper Unite, Juniper said that customers can dynamically automate their network resources to meet their growing business needs and support today’s operations while preparing for the future, the company said in a statement.
With Unite, Juniper aims to provide enterprises with simplified and secure network infrastructure products and technology, particularly enterprises that have campus environments, branch locations and make use of cloud technology. The latest security products include Juniper Networks Sky Advanced Threat Prevention, Junos Space Security Director and Juniper Networks SRX Series Services Gateways to provide customers with the sophisticated threat protection, security management, automation and scale needed to defend against threats at any point in the network without hindering network performance. Junos Fusion Enterprise will allow customers to collapse multiple network layers, including an on-premises data center, into one simple, smart and flexible cloud-enabled enterprise network.
Juniper Networks on Tuesday launched a set of security solutions as part of its new Juniper Networks Unite architecture. Juniper provides integrated offerings with leading wireless vendors including Aerohive Networks, Aruba Networks and Ruckus Wireless.
