George RR Martin Debunks Game of Thrones Movie Rumors
According to the author, the concept of ending the critically-acclaimed television show with a full-length movie was discussed a few years back, but he emphasized that it was not his idea.

Of course there will be a vast amount of social media interaction, but there’s a finite aspect to it because those who have seen the movie already know the end. King Robert’s rebellion had stirred fans’ interest and this could be a good event to explore. He added that, although he would not have time to be involved, it was “something that HBO and DB [Weiss] and David [Benioff] are dealing with”, referring the programme’s showrunners.
Sorry, “Game of Thrones” fans, but there’s no “GOT” movie now in the works. Martin also sent HuffPost a statement directly addressing the movie rumours. “I am such a slow writer and the fans get upset that I don’t write faster”, he allegedly said, with the article also including claims from an insider who said the big screen version will be a prequel featuring dead characters.
“I have seen the (uncolored) art for this one, and it looks spectacular”, Martin continues on his blog.
Martin took to his online LiveJournal to respond: “Don’t believe everything you read, boys and girls. I have two more books to finish and I still have so much to do”, the outlet quoted Martin saying.
But the fantasy series’ creator George R.R. Martin has left the door ajar to a big-screen adaption at a few point down the track.
Lombardo said: “Seven and out was never in the conversation”. “When you start a series with our subscribers, the promise is that for your HBO fee we’re going to take you to the end of this”, he said.

Meanwhile, I think I’ll go trawling the World Wide Web right now for click-bait on “Mad Men: The Movie”. While the new discoveries on the planet in the late 60s and early 70s thrilled scientists, Martin remembers that “for the readers and writers of science fiction, the excitement was mingled with disillusionment and dismay”.
