IKEA Pulls Window Blinds That Pose Safety Risk to Children

This announcement is part of the ongoing IKEA home safety program, Safer Homes Together, which focuses on educating customers about safety at home.

IKEA declared that often commencing Thursday, it certainly will do not sell off blinds by having draw cables, that have lived known as a strangulation endanger for babies.

Under the move, it is phasing out the blinds in the US ahead of its previously planned global phase out date of January 1, 2016.

Ikea said it will stop selling all blinds with cords globally by the beginning of 2016. Ikea representatives said that statistic is what sparked the decision to do away with the cords.
