A now-deceased gunman has killed at least 10 people and injured seven others at a community college in Oregon.

After previous mass shootings, like the one in Newtown, Mass., in December 2012 that left 20 children dead, Obama has stressed the importance of gun control in the United States.

President Barack Obama appeared frustrated as he addressed the shooting, and said that the U.S. must change its gun laws.
“I hope and pray that I don’t have to come out again during my tenure as president to offer my condolences to families in these circumstances”, Obama said.
In audio that is reportedly from a police radio channel, an officer can be heard saying the suspect was down and that there were victims with “multiple gunshot wounds”. “We didn’t know what was going to happen, if those were our last words or not”.

Neither state police nor the sheriff’s office immediately returned calls from The Associated Press seeking details.
Authorities responded to the Roseburg campus about 10:30 a.m. Thursday after receiving a report of a shooting on campus.
