Xbox Live core services unavailable for a few gamers as Microsoft investigates

The issue was first reported about three hours ago, looking at Xbox Support’s tweets, but updates are still pretty vague, with no ETA on resolution.

“We can’t speculate on a timeframe”. Whether those that are already signed into the service can continue playing or not is unknown at this timw, with Microsoft just reporting sign in trouble, specifically for the Xbox One.

Microsoft has rolled out an update for users on its Xbox One console which allows 12 people to party chat.

DDOS attacks have caused havoc in the past, there is no indication that is the cause of the disruption today, however.

That means that while you may be able to stream Netflix on your phone or laptop, your Xbox One has to wait for Microsoft to bring the Live system – mostly created to let you play online multiplayer games – back online before the console can be used to stream video or surf YouTube.

It appears that its core service is down with Xbox One users unable to log in. This was a major restriction for great player experience as it could not accommodate the full team, on games such as Federation Internationale de Football Association. Thank you for being patient in the meantime.
