Ikechi Anya signs new five-year deal with Watford
Ickechi Anya believes “the sky’s the limit” at Watford after he put pen-to-paper on a new five-year contract at the club.

The 27-year-old has become an established member of the Hornets following his switch to the club in 2012.
A consistent first-team player during his time in Hertfordshire, the Scottish global, 27, has moved up a level this season to establish himself as first-choice left-back in the Hornets’ set-up – despite being a natural winger.
Anya has featured in all seven of Watford’s opening fixtures back in the Premier League this season, with six of those coming as a starter in Quique Flores’ side.
Celtic wanted to bring Anya home to Glasgow – where he was born to a Romanian mother and Nigerian father – in the summer, but they could not afford Watford’s £5million valuation. You wouldn’t sign somewhere if you weren’t happy there, and this is why when I wake up in the morning and drive in I feel so happy.
“Why wouldn’t I want that for as long as I possibly could?”
Anya helped Watford to promotion last season, when he came to wider prominence with a goal for Scotland against world champions Germany.
“He is very clever and very happy at Watford”.

“To sign for five years with a Premier League club, I feel so grateful and honoured and I’m hoping these next five years could be a few successful times for Watford”.
