At Least 10 Dead in Shooting on College Campus in Roseburg, Oregon

“We responded to a report of a shooting at the local community college and it’s a developing situation”, Officer Dwes Hutson, of the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office, said. He declined to say whether that number included the gunman.

Twitter user Bohdi said her grandmother was at the scene.

Authorities told media that the shooter has been pronounced dead, it is not yet confirmed how he died. “It was horrific. My whole body was shaking”.

One student said the gunman asked people about their religion before spraying more bullets.

“The shooter was lining people up and asking if they were christian”, tweeted Bodhi Looney, who said her grandmother was in the room as the shooting unfolded.

“The law enforcement investigation into the shooter and his motivations is continuing”, Douglas County Sheriff John Hanlin told reporters at a news conference.

“You don’t even think that’s somebody shooting a gun”, Rennie said, but “I kept envisioning someone is going to come around the corner and and shoot the windows out”.
