Activision Working With Developers To Fix Tony Hawk Pro Skater 5 Issues

The announcement follows a statement from the publisher yesterday acknowledging “issues” with the game, which has been panned by critics for its bugs, poor graphics and “bad level design”.

Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 5 was released this week on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, but the response to the latest entry in the iconic skateboarding series was probably not what Activision would have wanted.

Pre-loads for the game have revealed that the download data is a comparatively small 4.6GB, while the day one update is 7.7GB.

Gamers have speculated that Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 5 was sent out to die, but Activision is eager to dispel this idea and is saying that it has plans to solve all the reported issues.

It’s still unclear whether a few changes have been made to the publishing deal since 2002, if not then Pro Skater 5 had to launch this year no matter what.

A pledge to fix the problems linked to Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 5 is a good thing, but it remains to be seen how many resources the company is willing to spend on a game that is not part of its core line-up.
