What do you think about Lemony Snicket’s Planned Parenthood donation? The embattled women’s health organization is now involved in a fight to avoid congressional defunding for allegedly using fetuses for profit.

Adds MSN: “Republican lawmakers rapidly assailed Richards with accusations over her salary, Planned Parenthood’s travel expenses, and the activities of the group’s political action committee”.

Handler also tweeted out that he and his wife have been fortunate and their good fortune should be shared with a noble cause.

Planned Parenthood defends the practice as the legal donation of tissue to research firms. “This year, Planned Parenthood has gone through a series of unfortunate events, and it felt right to make our support more public and more dramatic”.

According to the latest annual report and in line with Republican Presidential candidate Jeb Bush’s claims, Planned Parenthood receives $500 million per year from the USA government, making it the largest contributor to the organization.

Handler and Brown’s donation comes amidst pressure from a few conservatives to remove all federal funding from Planned Parenthood, which provides mammograms, cancer screenings, and health consultations, as well as abortions, for patients, many of whom are low-income women.
