Motorola Droid Turbo 2 will be customizable on Moto Maker website

The update also depends on the carriers who need to approve the same, but at least Moto users are assured that they will be the next in line after the Nexus devices to get the new OS.

With Android 6.0 Marshmallow scheduled to roll out to the Google Nexus device lineup next week, we’re now scrambling to get update information from various manufacturers.

“This philosophy has enabled us to make what we think are the most personal and responsive phones in the world, built on a foundation of pure Android with a few Moto Enhancements to improve (not impede) overall functionality”, writes Motorola in the blog post. These improvements duplicate most of what Motorola Migrate provides. Even if the Lollipop update was unfolded pretty slowly to Motorola G devices, the timing was just right.

Motorola India has tweeted that its flagship smartphone, Moto X Style is launching soon in India. For one, Attentive Display has been folded into the Moto Actions, so jump in there if you’re looking to turn it on/off. Moto Display has also been removed from Android’s Settings app where it now joins Ambient Display in the Moto app. Motorola also mentions Moto Display will now show music controls for more services, so there’s a good chance your favorite has been added. And here are the 2014 models: Moto X Pure Edition in the USA (2nd-gen), Moto X 2nd-gen in Latin America, Europe and Asia, 2nd-gen Moto G and Moto with 4G LTE, Moto MAXX, DROID Turbo and Moto Turbo. From there, manufacturers like Motorola, Samsung and others can start working on updates, if they haven’t already based on the early developer preview of Android M. Also joining the exit, is the Motorola Connect extension in Google Chrome because many users now prefer top messaging services instead of SMS. “Look for more news on timing in the coming weeks“.
