Over 50 percent of the new Office purchases in Taiwan between July 2014 and June 2015 were subscriptions to Office 365 Personal or Home plans, Enyen Cheong, business group leader of applications and services at Microsoft Taiwan’s marketing and operations division, said during the local release of Windows Office 2015 on Friday.

New Outlook for Web: Now known as “Outlook on the Web”, the updated online service has new tools and capabilities including Sweep, Pin, Undo, single-line inbox view, inline reply, the ability to paste inline images, an option to suggest new meeting times, better HTML rendering, and new themes.

Exchange Server 2016’s search has been updated to provide more accurate and complete results to users.

This week, Microsoft will begin rolling out a thumbs-up icon into the reading pane of Outlook, letting you “like” an email. This is great as the apps are quick to load and have all theediting features you’ll need whilst on the go. If you sign up to Office 365 which is for one year, you have to pay €69 (5096) for one user which includes new Office 2016 apps both for PC and Mac as well as installation on your personal tablet and Smartphone.

With all these updates, Outlook 2016 now looks to give you lightning fast search, remove low priority mail and make sure everyone has the right access with modern attachments. Office 2016 allows you to share a OneNote notebook with as many people as you want. Knowing every little detail about how your business is running is essential information, and Power BI can bring it all together for you. Data Loss Prevention, managed availability, automatic recovery from storage failures and an improved web-based Exchange admin center are all part of the latest release. For those who still – 10 years later – complain about the transition from menus to the ribbon interface, you’ll now find a nondescript text box labeled “Tell me…” along with all the usual ribbon tabs. Additionally, you can sort your inbox based on Mentions so you can locate thread in which you were mentioned. It’s nice not to have to wait for new features. Interesting to note that there’s no mention for Windows 10 Universal or Windows Phone support. This is unashamedly a play to mimic the effortless real-time collaboration in Google Docs, and it mostly works. Including an @ symbol in the body of the email will draw up a list of contacts and automatically append said individual to your “To” line of emails.
