Target to Start Selling Apple Watch This Week

Still no Apple Pay in stores at Target just yet, but Apple Watch will be joining the lineup of iPhones and iPads in select stores this week – and all stores by October 25th. Customers who are interested in buying the device online on Target’s website can do so beginning October 18.

There will be 20 models on offer in total, in both the 38mm and 42mm sizes.

Why this matters: We still don’t know exactly how many watches Apple has sold and third-party estimates vary wildly, but expanding availability of the watch will only boost its sales.

Richfield-based Best Buy started selling the watch in about 100 stores in early August and has ramped up its rollout, faster than initially expected, to almost all of its stores by the end of last month. Also like Best Buy before it got Apple Watch, Target sells a selection of Apple Watch accessories including third-party bands and cases. However, it’s still unclear at the moment which models the company plans on selling.

Apple hasn’t discharged any official deals numbers for the Apple Watch.
