Sony PlayStation 4 Update 3.00 Brings YouTube Broadcasting, 10GB Cloud Storage

The biggest inclusion to this software will be the YouTube gaming app. YouTube live will allow players to livestream directly to the biggest video site known to man. This will make a total of three different audiences to broadcast now, with Twitch and UStream already available. You can upload a video of no more than 10 seconds; use the recently-introduced trimming tool to capture the best shot before sharing it with your friends.
Aside from Twitter, those who want to broadcast their games live on YouTube will be able to do so after installing the update.
PNG Screenshots: There are times when you would prefer a high resolution image of a certain character or gameplay aspect and for this Sony has now incorporated PNG support. You can register for the events straight from the hub too.
There’s a whole lot more to check out at the link below. You can see your friends in your groups, whether they’re online, and what games they’re playing. Each community will come with a message board for general discussion, as well as a place to post screenshots.
Many features rolling out with this week’s update target PlayStation Plus subscribers specifically. This latest update is firmly focused on offering new ways for players to connect, with improvements to the social connectivity, all of which you can see after the jump.
“We’ve improved Messages by making it easier to access groups of people you chat and play games with frequently”, John Koller, Sony’s vice president of platforms marketing wrote on the PlayStation Blog.
You can see we have favorite groups for Call of Duty, Rocket League, and (of course) our Destiny fireteam.

For starters, PlayStation Plus is getting its own dedicated area on the home screen. Don’t forget – you can double tap the Share button to start recording a video, and press it again to stop. In addition, new Stickers have been added for games such as Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End, Knack, LittleBigPlanet 3, Resogun, and more; these stickers will allow quick things such as “hang on a minute” to be illustrated by your favorite Sony characters. Do your monthly PS Plus free games make the subscription fee worthwhile?
