Robin Williams’ widow and children settle estate dispute out of court

Court documents filed earlier this year stated that the family was feuding over the late star’s money and property after Robin’s will stated his Californian home should be left to his wife, Susan. “As the case developed, more of Williams” belongings, including his bicycle collection, awards, watches and family photographs, were entered into dispute.

In essence, Williams’ children will receive most of the estate, while his third wife will principally be allowed to remain in the Tiburon house and have enough money to support it.

The out-of-court settlement was an offshoot of the petition filed by Robin Williams‘ widow back in December asking that the contents of her home should not be included in the things bequeathed by the comedian to his children.

They also disagreed about the value of a reserve fund to keep Susan Williams in the San Francisco Bay Area home she shared with Robin Williams. She will also get a monthly stipend as living expenses for the rest of her life.

She also claimed a few of her husband’s personal items were taken without her permission.

“While it’s hard to speak of this as a win, given it stems from the greatest loss of all”, it said. “I can live in peace knowing that my husband’s wishes were honoured”, Susan said in a statement obtained by an entertainment website.

“The children are relieved to have this behind them”, Meredith Bushnell, the attorney for Zachary, Zelda and Cody Williams, separately told the publication.

Schneider, who was married to the actor for three years, acknowledged she had no right to items that related to his acting career, including props from Mork and Mindy.

His publicist said he had been “battling severe depression”.
