Moore’s 19 Points Lead Lynx Past Mercury 67-60
They are an example of how very different types of players can excel at the same position. “The script definitely wasn’t written for the Indiana Fever to get past the finals”, and Catchings giggled, a superlative athlete who’s already accomplished everything enjoying the found money of her 2015 season.

Tamika Catchings had other ideas. Last season she was a rookie from Spain adjusting to the WNBA with the New York Liberty – a team that struggled in 2014. Marissa Coleman opened up the third quarter hitting three shots from behind the arc to add nine for Indiana.
Candice Dupree led a balanced Mercury attack with 16 points.
Dozens of people showed up to show their appreciation after the team won its way into the WNBA finals Tuesday night. “To be sitting here means a lot for the organization, for my team”.
And unstoppable they were.
“After reviewing postgame video and interviewing last night’s game officials, we have determined a foul should not have been called”, Renee Brown, the WNBA’s chief of basketball operations and player relations, said in a statement Monday.
“My black eye’s gone, but it’s still there underneath”, Moore said. “This is the environment that you want to play in, the Eastern Conference Finals”. The Lynx will play either New York or Indiana. Her ability to read offensive sets of her opponents allowed her to place herself squarely in the path of the play-so many of her steals at this point come not from quickness, but from larger-scale anticipation. “She is even being a facilitator”. “I am really proud of every single one of them”.
Look at the two rosters, the key players for both teams, and you might think that little has changed in three years. Game 1of the best-of-five series will air on ABC and can also be seen on the ABC SuperSign in Times Square in New York City. The Fever defeated the Liberty and will take on the Minnesota Lynx in the WNBA finals. Despite the fact that she was born with a hearing disability, Tamika has successfully overcome adversity time and time again.
“Coming into the finals that year, feeling like we weren’t as mentally tough as we needed to be”, Moore said. A lot of it is because we don’t have an All-Star or the Olympians. But wanting to end the season better than how we performed that year is something we can easily draw on as motivation.
“I feel like I’ve made more of a difference in the lives of my teammates, so when I am done, and I do retire, they can still operate on a championship level because they have somebody that they could watch for two years”.
Head coach Stephanie White became the first-ever WNBA rookie coach to win a conference championship, and said the team’s playoff run is a group effort.
Catchings is now second on the WNBA’s all-time scoring list, behind the retired Tina Thompson. I love college football, and will be in Bloomington Saturday for the Indiana vs. Ohio State game, but damn, those games regularly last four hours, and that’s too long.
Moore suffered a broken nose late in the regular season while Augustus and Whalen each missed big chunks of times with injuries.

It only seems fair that such an iconic figure in women’s athletics should finish on a high note.
