Rex Ryan: Patriots ‘clearly trying to embarrass us’ in Week 2
Buffalo Bills head coach Rex Ryan did not exude much confidence in the availability of his starting running back when he spoke to reporters on Monday.

“He’s real dynamic and he doesn’t play like this is his first time being a full-time starter, for sure, ” defensive end Robert Ayers said. His hamstring is limiting his full ability and the Bills “could decide to rest” McCoy, according to ESPN.
Watkins, the second-year receiver, has seven receptions for 99 yards and a touchdown through the first three games. After looking bad in a Week 1 win over the Redskins, Miami lost a close game to the lowly Jaguars during Week 2 before getting trampled by the Bills last weekend.
“I know [Robert] Woods got a 15-yard penalty for taking a guy on his back or something, but he has been doing a tremendous job, Hogan is blocking well”.
Ryan said Wednesday before practice that “it doesn’t look good”.
Ryan said the Bills’ bounce-back began when they scored three touchdowns in the fourth quarter of their 40-32 loss to the Patriots in Week 2. That’s something we’re weighing right now.
At the very least, the success of Taylor’s passing will rely on the health of WR Sammy Watkins, who suffered a calf strain vs the Dolphins, and play calling by OC Greg Roman. He now has 186 rushing yards through three games, putting up those numbers on just 24 carries. “But it will be fun once we get everybody about 100 percent”. He did have a 10-yard touchdown reception.
Though McCoy has played the past three weeks, he has not been the dynamic playmaker the Bills were relying upon n acquiring him in an offseason trade with Philadelphia.
“We’re fortunate”, he said.
The good news is rookie Karlos Williams has stepped up while McCoy has struggled.

Ryan said safety Aaron Williams is still “stiff and sore”. Even if McCoy plays, Williams has earned his share of the workload.
