This offseason, with the Cowboys electing not to offer Murray top dollar in comparison to his peers at running back, the Eagles ultimately offered him a five-year, $40 million contract that he inevitably signed.

Philadelphia Eagles running back DeMarco Murray, recovering from a hamstring injury, was listed as active for Sunday’s game against the Washington Redskins. Will be interesting to see who starts today in Philadelphia.
There hasn’t been any word from the Eagles about who will get the start, but Murray, Ryan Mathews and Darren Sproles will all be in the mix for touches.
Murray, the league’s reigning rushing champion and offensive player of the season, has struggled in his transition to the Eagles. “We’ll see how it goes”.
Murray suffered the injury during practice prior to last week’s game against the New York Jets, and he did not play in Week 3.

The Eagles officially ruled out linebacker Kiko Alonso (knee) and defensive ends Taylor Hart (shoulder) and Cedric Thornton (hand) for Sunday. It’s not a great matchup to play any of the Eagles running backs, especially with the uncertainty in workload and the conditions of the field in Washington.
