Ajax coach Frank de Boer admits interest in Liverpool job

Speaking to the BBC’s World Service at the end of September, De Boer highlighted his intention to leave Ajax in the near future, targeting a move to the Premier League. But if Barcelona did come in with a big-money offer, you do wonder whether Liverpool would decide to cash in or not.

“I’m looking maybe for another adventure”.

De Boer was linked with both Newcastle and Liverpool but nothing materialised, Brendan Rodgers staying at Anfield and Steve McClaren eventually replacing Alan Pardew.

“If there is an interesting club which I think with my quality I can make that team better, if I can, then I will take that chance“.

Liverpool play Everton this weekend, and the rumor mill keeps getting more and more intense.

De Boer clearly says that he wishes to see out the season in Amsterdam, but with Rodgers’ statement on Thursday that he believes Liverpool are rebuilding again, it may suit all concerned to wait until the summer.
