Andrew Luck Misses First Game Of His NFL Career

But as Thomas inches closer to his season debut after September 1 hand surgery, a bright spot for the Jaguars’ offense continued to develop in Sunday’s 16-13 overtime loss to the Indianapolis Colts: Paying more attention to Allen Robinson will be a boon for Allen Hurns.

It wasn’t pretty but it was still a win and now the Colts are in first place in the AFC South with an even record (2-2).

Luck was injured against the Tennessee Titans on September 27 and sat out this week’s game against Jacksonville.

The Colts said publicly that Luck would likely start last week, but he was ruled out Friday night, and 40-year-old backup Matt Hasselbeck got the call.

Johnson has played in 29 National Football League games (starting five of them) and completed 96 of 177 passes for 1,042 yards, five touchdowns and 10 interceptions. Defensively, the Colts yield 268.0 yards in passing and 119.5 yards in rushing. Allen Hurns had a career day with his 11 receptions for 116 yards and a touchdown while Robinson and Lewis combined for 120 yards on 9 catches. On second-and-5, Bortles initially dropped back before running right.

At the end of the day, special teams played the biggest role in this game.
