While the Cleveland police gang unit has been bolstered in the last few months by additional officers and by federal agents, what police need now are solid tips that can be pursued.
Thursday’s killing is the third young child in Cleveland to die in a drive-by shooting in less than a month.
Police Chief Calvin Williams sheds tears as he discusses the recent shootings in Cleveland.
He told reporters: “Another innocent child in our city has been taken from us, by thugs out there in the streets”. There are things all over Facebook and social media, maybe even before this happened. Williams said the presumed target(s) of the gunfire remain unknown. “We want bodies in jail for the crime”.
“For the family, it’s tough”, Chief Williams continued, as he struggled to keep his emotions in check.
