Chicago Bears’ Martellus Bennett Strangely Compares Jay Cutler to Jesus

Coach John Fox praised Cutler’s effort in the Bears 22-20 win, commending his physical and mental toughness in overcoming a nagging hamstring injury. One thing is for sure though – the only thing he has in common with Jesus is initials.

Jay Cutler completed 28-of-43 passes for 281 yards, two touchdowns and an interception Week 4 against the Raiders.

I think we can all agree that’s more like it.

Jay Cutler came through Sunday to lead the Bears to their first victory of the season.

It was Cutler’s team Sunday, which might sound unusual to a lot of Bears fans and observers. I don’t have a front row seat for the spectacle that is Jay Cutler.

“They threw rocks at Jesus”, Bennett told reporters, “and Jesus was an excellent guy who did a lot of awesome stuff”. Of course someone said Jesus didn’t throw picks. Cutler was less than 100 percent in this game, and it showed on his interception.
