Range Rover Evoque Convertible goes off-road

Quite whether any of these customers-in-waiting really care that the Evoque Convertible can tackle Land Rover’s Eastnor Castle off-road facility with a good degree of carefully edited panache is an entirely different matter. The four-wheel drive convertible was put through its paces on the estate’s grounds, ensuring that no rigidity was lost with the removal of the Evoque’s roof.

But for those searching for a bit more fun, Jaguar Land Rover has something else in store.

As Land Rover highlights in the following video, open-top off-roading is apart of its DNA so the convertible Evoque isn’t all that unusual from the company.

Is the Range Rover Evoque convertible genuinely any good off road?

As with that earlier campaign, the new droptop SUV has been previewed this week with a series of six wireframe sculptures dropped in key London locations, taking the form of 1:1 scale representations of the Evoque Convertible. The convertible Evoque’s modern automotive technology includes Hill Descent Control for greater stability and security and a Terrain Response System that will adjust for traction and handling on conditions ranging from gravel to ice.

Land Rover confirmed plans to launch a highly desirable convertible derivative of its multi award-winning Range Rover Evoque at the Geneva Motor Show in March 2015.
