Microsoft has announced its first-ever laptop, the Surface Book.
The keyboard has excellent spacing and the keys have good travel, in my early impressions, and the device feels similar to that of the Surface in terms of fit and finish.
Microsoft also takes a dig at the Apple by stating their latest tablet is twice as fast as the MacBook Pro.
The Surface Pro 4 will retail for $899 (no United Kingdom pricing or date yet) and is available for pre-order on 7th October and will go on sale starting 26th October.
The company has not revealed pricing and availability for Singapore.
The Surface Pro 4 will also be released in two size variants: one will feature a 12-inch display, while the other one will feature a larger 14-inch display, but both variants will support a Quad HD resolution of 2160×1440 pixels.
“It’s been five or six years since I have seen Microsoft positioned this well”, Patrick Moorhead, an analyst at Moor Insights & Strategy, told ABC News.
You get a fingerprint sensor on the keyboard too!
– The new Surface Pro 4 tablet – a larger but thinner and lighter version of the Surface Pro 3 – runs on 6th-generation Intel Core processor and has 16GB of RAM and 1TBB storage.
Microsoft also unveiled the Surface Pen, which was to be an obvious move after Apple’s Pencil. The camera have optical image stabilization and “triple LED RGB” flash which eliminates red-eye. The company said storage on the phones could be extended to up to 2 terabytes using a memory card.

NASDAQ:MSFT launched three phones at the event held in New York, including Lumia 950 priced at $549 and Lumia 950XL that will be sold for $649 following their availability in November. Lumia 550 will begin rolling out in select European markets in December, with additional markets to follow.
