Michigan LB Mario Ojemudia (Achilles) out for season
“He’s going to have a surgery and fix his Achilles, which is tough, because it’s a really tough rehab”, coach Jim Harbaugh said on his radio show Monday confirming the injury, via the Detroit Free Press.

No. 18 Michigan won its game against Maryland 28-0 on Saturday, but lost senior linebacker Mario Ojemudia to a torn Achilles. With a marquee clash against No. 13 Northwestern awaiting Saturday, it’ll be interesting to see if Jenkins-Stone or Marshall can fill the void. I’ve got a few experience with that one.
Michigan will be without starting LB Mario Ojemudia for the rest of 2015. Smith was hurt in the previous win over then-No.
Harbaugh said after Saturday’s win that both Smith and Stribling wanted to play, but he opted to hold them back himself for precautionary reasons.
With a huge game against Northwestern this week and Michigan State coming to the Big House on October. 17, Michigan has a great opportunity to to pick up key Big Ten wins that can make them as much of a player in the conference title race as Ohio State. The first time that’s happened to him. That is a hard, tough rehab type of injury. “I don’t know exactly who yet, but it’ll be one of those guys”, Harbaugh said, per ESPN.com’s Dan Murphy.
