Woman found dead in San Francisco’s Golden Gate Park
The family of a female Canadian backpacker whose body was found in Golden Gate Park released a statement to the press Tuesday, asking for privacy as San Francisco police continue their homicide investigation.

A 23-year old South Shore woman who was backpacking on the U.S. West Coast has been murdered.
He didn’t know when Carey left Canada, but he said she planned to make the western United States the first leg of her journey.
Police say the body displayed signs of blunt force trauma to the head.
A passerby discovered Carey’s body at approximately 9:15 a.m. local time Saturday near the park’s bison paddock.
San Francisco police are investigating the death of a 23-year-old woman from St-Jean-sur-Richelieu.
The night before, the Hardly Strictly Bluegrass festival hosted its first day of music further east in the park.
Officers told the pollsters, and paramedics confirmed her useless inside the site, Esparza said.
