Paul McCartney unveils new ‘Say Say Say’ video with unheard audio
If you think about it, Paul’s been “dead” for decades, and it never stopped him from pumping out tunes!

In a press release, McCartney recalls getting a call from Jackson out of the blue. Although he titles the song as a “remix”, it’s actually much more than that.
The remixed version is included on McCartney’s new remastered version of his 1983 album “Pipes of Peace”, which was released last week. Watch it exclusively on Paul’s Facebook here. You may recognize his name from Sia’s music video for “Chandelier”. According to outcome of Sound, the idea came while listening to a remix of “Say Say Say” earlier this year from DJ John “Jellybean” Benitez.
“McCartney remembered that he had two previously unused lead vocals by himself and the late King of Pop tucked away, and he had an idea”. “Anyway, we had a joke about that kind of thing, and he said, ‘Yeah, I’d like to come over and write with you”, so I said great.
“Say Say Say” was one of three tracks on which Paul McCartney and Michael Jackson worked together.

While Sir Paul and Jackson starred as travelling con merchants in the Wild West in the video, the new video follows a teenage boy on a journey through his neighbourhood. In the remixed version, Michael and Paul switch parts in the song. So he came over to England and we just sat down. The Deluxe Edition also includes a DVD which features single promos and unreleased clips from Paul’s film archives. The single was an instant radio hit and topped the Billboard Hot 100 for six weeks in a row.
