Raccoons, who can carry rabies, are generally regarded as pests and are illegal to keep domestically – except in the Bahamas as there are no animal centres created to take the animals.

Pumpkin’s mother never showed to find her and so she lived with Ms Kemp until she recovered.

This adorbz raccoon thinks he’s a dog, and he acts like one too, and we are OBSESSED with him!! She instantly bonded with us and our two rescue dogs and follows me and our two dogs everywhere we go.

“Pumpkin considers the dogs her mums”.

The owners added that she is very intelligent and entertaining, and loves to play with the pups. They fed the cub, whom they named Pumpkin, and kept her warm, just like her mom would have.

This raccoon is a house pet who lives with two other dogs.

Pumpkin is unlike any raccoon in the world – mostly because she actually thinks she’s a dog.
