Buhari ministerial list not exciting – PDP
The buzz that was generated by the release of the ministerial nominees from President Muhammadu Buhari has not died down as Nigerians have been reacting to the names on the list since it was made public. Their mandate was to ensure the immediate restoration of the deposed president and to visit Ouagadogou, Burkina-Faso’s capital and convey the resolutions of the ECOWAS Heads of States and Governments to the coup leaders and the entire leadership of the country.

Ita Enang, the senior special assistant to the president on National Assembly matters (Senate).
We like to say clearly here that a few of his colleagues that purportedly passed a vote of confidence on him do not truly represent the feelings of their constituents, and so cannot be speaking for the 170 million Nigerians.
However, he admitted that Dogara was “eminently placed” to mediate in the issue since his position had not been “called to question by any authority as we speak”. Saraki, an APC member himself, had to rely on his political dexterity, the assistance of senators belonging to his former party the PDP, and a stroke of good fortune to be elected unopposed against his party’s wishes in a Machiavellian twist.
The president, therefore, urged Gattaz and the French trade mission, which includes over 50 companies with interest in manufacturing, agriculture, infrastructure development and other areas, to return to Nigeria again next year in order to take full advantage of the new policies.
“He will likely meet with the VP and the SGF on Tuesday (today) before another leg of meeting with Buhari on Wednesday”, the source stated.
The president, however, added that his confidence in Saraki “will depend on the outcome of the court’s decision”. Most students of worldwide relations will recall that Africa remained the centrepiece of Nigeria’s foreign policy, and the West African sub region was Nigeria’s sphere of influence and control.
Buhari said last week he would personally oversee the oil ministry, meaning Kachikwu is likely to be junior minister in charge of day-to-day affairs in the industry.

The motion, which was overwhelmingly supported by the senators initially contained 84 names but two APC senators rejected their inclusion in the list, saying they were not part of it.
