Texans at Falcons: Full highlights and final score

It wasn’t the outcome Arian Foster was looking for as the running back returned to play in his first game from a groin injury. They were overmatched against a Falcons team that ran the ball at will and dominated, especially on third down.

The Houston Texans endured a crushing defeat against the Atlanta Falcons this past Sunday.

The Texans turned the ball over three times on offense, including one where tackle Derek Newton knocked the ball out of Foster’s hands, allowing the Falcons an easy defensive score. The inability to contain Ryan cost the Texans a key first down.

Houston’s quarterback carousel took another turn when Mallett was replaced by former starter Hoyer late in the third period. If they can continue on this trend, this could be a top-15 defense with the potential to be more. It hurt my fantasy teams, but everyone else had Julio as well so no big deal in daily fantasy play. The offense is not the only one to blame this week, their defense had a poor performance as well.

The Texans (1-3) have a short turnaround before hosting AFC South foe Indianapolis on Thursday night.

For the 1st three games of the season it was the Matt Ryan/Julio Jones Show but Atlanta has surprisingly demonstrated the ability to run the football effectively.

Freeman’s incredible two-week run makes him the first Falcons player since Michael Turner in 2010 to record consecutive games with multiple rushing touchdowns, per ESPN Stats & Info. Ryan Mallet has the job now and has gotten a little better week over week. Freeman has six touchdowns in his last two games. Tamme (concussion) was hurt in last week’s victory at Dallas and has yet to be cleared.

The Falcons jumped out to 42-0 lead before the reserves finished out the game.

Devonta Freeman and the Falcons are 4-0.

“Once we put a full four quarters together, we are a problem for everybody as you can see”, Falcons cornerback Desmond Trufant said. “I have to get in a rhythm, and then the confidence comes”. “It just depends on how it feels on Sunday”.

Now, Houston Texans second-year coach Bill O’Brien has no idea who his quarterback is. Foster says he was a “full participant” in practice this week.

Running back Frank Gore’s 22-yard run set up Vinatieri’s final kick.

After the State of Georgia’s primary collegiate football attractions in the University of Georgia and Georgia Tech got rocked on Saturday, the dreary weather was not the only reason to be blue.

“There’s a lot of football to be played”, he said. “It sounds kind of cocky, but it’s just the mindset you kind of have to have”. “It’s fantastic how Coach Quinn has brought this team to life”.

Peters, who was a safety in college, put on about 20 pounds as he made a transition to linebacker. But I think right now being on a short week, it’s important for us to stick with Ryan right now. “I’ve been able to go wholeheartedly into the opportunity I’ve been served up with”.

Bill O’Brien is taking the opposite tack as Chip Kelly in trying to deal with the Frankenstein he has built in Houston, with that team getting absolutely embarrassed Sunday. He has done it with his arm (412 passing yards and 3 touchdowns in the 2013 season opener) and with his legs (a record 181 yards rushing in a 2012 playoff win).
